Here's my New Year's Resolution offering to County Commission Board Chairman Wallace Evans:  We can only speculate why one Commissioner, Pat Quain, changed his position to allow another vote on County Elected's wage increases.

But we all should know that Chairman Evans' vote will be deciding what had appeared as a "none issue".  Will Mr. Evans "do the Right Thing", and sustain the previous action that denied wage increases?  Will he demonstrate a personal "profile in courage" by also asking the Board to revisit personal wage increases approved previously?

Commissioner Evans has been cited as "respected" and obviously has the power to raise a majority on these issues.  And you know, that this is a resolution that can be kept and remembered the entire year, 2008.
